Intense Pulsed Light or 'IPL' is a non-ablative skin treatment which has
the ability to cure a wide range of skin complaints including acne,
thread veins, brown spots and wrinkles and permanently reduces unwanted
hair. The treatment is administered through a hand piece which delivers
intense flashes of light which penetrate the skin and work on its
imperfections and treat the problem. IPL differs from lasers, as lasers
use only one wavelength (or colour) of light. IPL uses the entire
spectrum. This allows the light to work on specific problems as deeply
as necessary, and the frequency can be altered to suit the patient's
needs as each individual wavelength interacts differently with the
skin. The treatment is not painful, although the sensation has been
likened to the snap of a rubber band on the skin. However, this feeling
subsides momentarily.

After The Treatment
There is no down time involved with the IPL treatment, however the
